Wunti Al Kair Foundation has imparted the skills needed for successful careers in various fields to more than 200 Nigerian youths as part of the foundation’s employability program. To help fight unemployment.

The foundation said in a statement sent to Whistler that the event in Bauchi attracted more than 200 participants.

The event was aimed at final-year students, recent graduates and NYSC members and featured six renowned industry experts.

“The program’s main objective was to equip participants with entrepreneurship and employability skills and provide them with valuable insights that will enable them to flourish in their professional fields,” the foundation said.

The program consisted of six insightful sessions designed to cover various aspects important to career advancement and success, organizers said.

The first session on “Leadership and Networking for Career Advancement” was moderated by Adewale Onagbesan, Team Leader of Wunti Al-Khair Foundation.

Mr. Adewale spoke about the core principles of leadership and highlighted strategies for leveraging networks to achieve career growth.

Motunrayo Alake covered the important topic of resume writing in the second session. Participants were guided through the intricacies of creating an effective resume and learned about the different types and their connections. The session also highlighted the pros and cons of resume checking.

The third session was about “Career Path Volunteering”. The session was conducted by Seun Justin Onarinde, Executive Director of the Young Leaders Network.

Onarinde highlighted the benefits of volunteering as a strategic means of career development and provided empirical examples to illustrate this.

Mr. Ahmad Yusuf, Thrive Media Africa’s digital media and technology expert and founder, led his fourth session themed ‘Personal and Professional Branding’.

The statement said participants gained valuable insights into managing their digital footprint and maximizing digital opportunities for personal and professional development.

Successful entrepreneur Deborah Salki led the fifth session on Developing the Entrepreneurial Spirit. Entrepreneurs shared their entrepreneurial journeys and advised aspiring entrepreneurs on how to launch and successfully launch a business venture.

The 6th session on “Career Paths in Technology” was organized by Mr. Ango Mustapha, Head of Senior Programs, Enterprise and Employability, Wunti Al-Khair Foundation.

Mustafa provided a comprehensive analysis of the technology industry and a helpful guide to navigating the ever-evolving landscape.

A panel discussion was also held to demystify the myths about Nigeria’s business and job market.

Panellists clearly explained success in various areas and dispelled misconceptions that can hinder youth’s progress.

Speaking at the event, Mohamed Bashir Bala Ounti, Executive Director of the Foundation, reiterated the core vision of the Founder and Chairman. Bashir highlighted the foundation’s commitment to “positively impact the poverty rate in the state by making Bauchi state youths employable and successful entrepreneurs.”
